Western Communities Foundation

To express our appreciation and demonstrate our support for the western communities where we live and work, Western Financial Group founded the non-profit Western Communities Foundation in 2001 under the Income Tax Act of Canada (Registration #87030 2619 RR0001).

• Foster the development of community pride through sponsorship of worthy endeavors by teams or individuals in the various communities where Western Financial Group operates
• Develop and enhance the infrastructure in these communities through public health, education and recreation
• Assist in the export of community products, expertise and financial support to parts of Canada and the world that are lacking such benefits

• The Annual Fall Classic charity golf tournament which raised over $50,000 in 2007. Our Annual Fall Classic charity golf tournament will be held on September 9, 2008 at Highwood Golf & Country Club in High River.
• The Support the Cause day which in 2007 raised over $27,000. Our next Support the Cause day will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the majority of our Western Financial Group locations.
• Donations received as “get well" wishes were given directly in support of our general charity work.
• Grants and coverage of operational, technical and administrative costs are supported by Western Financial Group.
• Various fundraising efforts are greatly enhanced by the generous support of our insurance company partners as well as the contributions of ‘Helping Hands.’
